Evoking classic Scandinavian minimalism
Founded in 2005 by Jockum Hallin and Cristopher Nying, Our Legacy represents the epitome of Scandinavian cool. With its own unique twist to timeless design staples, playfulness with custom-developed fabrics, and minimalist silhouettes and textures, the brand managed to become a household name in the fashion industry. Originally a menswear brand, Our Legacy moved into womenswear in 2018- and later announced its first women’s store opening in London in 2019.

The duo describes itself as a punk band that makes clothes instead of music. Hallin and Nying met as kids in Jönköping, Sweden, where they worked at a clothing store. At first glance, Our Legacy might evoke classic Scandinavian minimalism. But with a closer look, you’ll find that the über-clean basics are gateway drugs into the brand’s quietly psychedelic world of far-out prints, space-age fabrics, and new, exaggerated proportions.
