architectural shapes / elevated streetwear
Origin: London, UK
A story of complex layering
Founded by Samuel Ross in London in 2015, A-Cold-Wall* distinguishes itself by its complex layering of heterogeneous references ranging from geo-specific colour palettes and textures. Taking influence from both Savile Row tailoring and the global working class subculture. The creations of the designer have a highly architectural construction sensibility.
“My job is to express a lot of information that’s been misconstrued, or misunderstood, or that people don’t know really exists.”
Keen to push the parameters of his interest in fashion, after graduating from De Montfort University in Leicester with a degree in graphic design and illustration,Ross then set about contacting a range of companies across the UK and the US. Samuel Ross was once the ex-assistant and the consultant of OFF-WHITE founder Virgil Abloh.
The result is a distinctive family of products ranging from simple jersey pieces to avant-garde outerwear that occupy a pioneering space somewhere between high fashion and streetwear.
